One refund bank report in. Payouts, profit and client statements out.

This page walks through every step a tax office takes with PTIN Payroll Pro, using a real Santa Barbara TPG funded-fee report of 12 returns. Change the fee settings below and every number recalculates the way it does inside the app.

01

Upload the refund bank report

The office owner drops in the CSV their refund bank already sends — Santa Barbara TPG or Refund Advantage. No re-typing, no template to fill in, no spreadsheet formulas to maintain.

Every return matches itself to a preparer

Each row is matched by PTIN to the preparer on your team, and their own commission split is applied. Anything that doesn't match is flagged so the owner picks the preparer — and a report uploaded twice never pays twice.

Payroll and office profit, to the cent

Your service bureau fee and loan marketing fee come off automatically, so you see true profit per return instead of gross fees. Set your own numbers here.

Office profit
$-389.5

At a 90% preparer split with a $75 service bureau fee per return, this batch costs the office $389.5. Lower the split — or raise your prep fees — until the profit figure turns positive.

Preparers and clients see their own numbers

Every preparer signs in to their portal and sees each return under their PTIN, their split, what's been paid and what's still owed. Their clients sign in too and see their own returns, the fee charged and whether it's settled — so nobody has to phone the office for a figure.

Whole office, $129 a year

Up to 10 preparers included, extra packs of 20 for $20/year, or $27.99 a month if you'd rather spread it. No contracts.
